We need ground rules and a date, I'll assume it's going to be a weekend.

I'd assume the contestants pay for their own pbrs and tacos, maybe the winner gets reimbursed?

At first I was gonna suggest that we could incorporate this with this years Aquarium IV Gathering...... but in the last few hours I think this has grown beyond that......
I would also imagine that it would be a weekend.  I don't care which.

... though I doubt I'll actually try... I don't think I can do 30t/30p in 24hrs
I would recommend 1 puke allowance per contestant.

Will this year's Aquarium party be featuring a new mounted Blue Marlin?  Or perhaps a vagina couch?

There ain't no room down there for no vagina couch.
I'm not even sure where I could hang a mounted Blue Marlin... though I imagine some place could be found.

We also need a way to determine a winner... maybe a point system, based on 100 points for completing the challenge and taking points away for puking, or spilling or anything else that the impartial judges decide.

I'd assume that as well..

Hmm.... What constitutes winning?  It's possible that everyone that tries this could successfully down 30/30 in 24hrs.

A point system sounds like a good idea (with NOT downing 30/30 in 24hrs an automatic disqualification)

What about othe taco types? Are we talking strictly crunchy beef tacos, or can there be a soft taco/chicken taco in the mix?

Also, if these tacos have to come from Taco Bell. I think that they close around 1:00am, so at that point there is no way to acquire more tacos.

The 24 hour period would have to be defined as well. I for one would call for 10am - 9:59am. Also, what is the juudge situation? Are there multiple judges working in shifts?

I bet you could get Jonah and possibly Ike to do this.  Bob might also partake, but I'll let him speak for himself.

I suppose the 24-hour period will have to be determined after a weekend is chosen, and what time contestants and perspective judges (I think there would be multiple judges) can start... then just go 24 hours from there ($1.50 made a good point about Taco Bell closing at 1am... )

Since the hot dog eating contest is what turned Jonah from a vegetarian to a carnivore, I would be willing to guess that the gastrointestinal issues caused by this contest might be enough to send him back the other way.  But yeah, he would probably do it.

It would be ridiculously cheaper to just make your own tacos, not to mention the fact that the host's kitchen won't close at 1 am.

A good deal of those GI issues would be caused by the PBR as well... but I doubt he'll stop drinking beer.

My opinon is that one could "mix it up" when it comes to the Tacos.... At least the beef/chicken aspect... Not sure how the hard shell/soft shell option could come into play.

You would just have to make sure that you had a standard size for the filling.  Any additional toppings could be voluntary.

If we use a point system, significant extra toppings could also earn more points.  We'll have to make sure people don't try to hide uneaten toppings in the taco wrappers.

Yeah, that sucks.  I think the general shittiness of taco bell is a big factor in the competition... Also I think the choice of soft/hard beef/chicken should be up to each competitor, at no penalty unless ponce decides to go meat/shell only which should be points off if he enters.

I think toppings are for the enjoyment of the competitor and as such shouldn't be awarded extra points, at least not for sour cream, lettuce, tomato and salsa... anything above and beyond that might merit extra points, but that would have to be decided upon before hand.

That being said, at least ONE topping should be mandatory, as "meat and shell" is fucking bullshit.

I ain't entering.... I'm sure I'll enjoy some tacos (meat & shell-- though sometime I don't mind lettuce.) and some Pabst.... but I know I ain't gonna manage 30/30.

Perhaps to start out the tacos can come from Taco Bell... but then they'll have to be made using the Taco Bell shit you can get at the store... due to not wanting to make many trips to Taco Bell and the fact that they close.

Or at least he would lose one point for every taco he eats without toppings, which would start him at a dismal 70 points.

No I think they should be plain meat/hard shell tacos. You know like th eshit your mom you to make before things got all fancy and you found out about those "soft shells". And they should have shredded lettuce, tomato, and cheddar cheese.

Anything else you want is extra. I'm not eating no damn sour cream... that shit's gross!

I think meat lettuce and cheese should be mandatory.

I agree, as this is what comes on the standard Taco Bell taco. I don't think that the filling would have to be measured, but the judge should be given the power to ask that more meat/lettuce/cheese be added to a taco.
