http://www.marlowanddaughters.com/What about this place I saw on the TV? They said they are New York's only locally sourced, whole animal butcher shop.

I know the plan was to have made the tacos for this competiton as Taco-Bell like as you could.... but I gotta say, looks like they weren't... cause I saw REAL ground beef being cooked at Bull's. That's a pretty big difference, apparently... http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_TACO_BELL_LAWSUIT?SITE=PAPIT&SECTION=BUSINESS&TEMPLATE=DEFAULTAt least they got the "seasoned" right....

I find it funny that 35% is the minimum need amount of actual meat to be called "beef" shouldn't it be like 51%?

Or at least be tagged with something like "meat mixture" or "meat based". Thanks for the sawdust in my tacos, Taco Bell.

Based on the thread you chose, I imagine that you are looking for a farm specializing in taco ingredients?

I don't do one anymore since we moved, we ended up wasting a lot of the stuff anyway as I had no idea what to do with it. Like Kale, it's gross. But it other news I was thinking about getting a chunk of good lamb from a farm like this or something http://www.grassfed.weatherburyfarm.com/ and having a lamb roast somewhere if anyone is interested sometime this summer/spring

Plus, we kept getting so much kohlrabi it was ridiculous. But it other news I was thinking about getting a chunk of good lamb from a farm like this or something http://www.grassfed.weatherburyfarm.com/ and having a lamb roast somewhere if anyone is interested sometime this summer/spring Lamb...Yum! We bought our 1/8 of a cow (we call him "mini moo") last April from a farm in Plum and we still have some left. It's so worth the price!

We aren't doing one this year for the complete opposite reason. We didn't like getting 6 ears of corn every week for months on end, and then only getting interesting things like greens a couple of times. That and picking it up in Mt Lebo after work was a pain in the ass, especially when we could have just gone to the farmers market in Brookline the same day/time.

We made kale chips. Good stuff
