Hmmm I'm gonna wait and see if they have a more comprehensive list of details (all the breweries, if they're serving food, etc.) further on down the line. I've been to private events at Saddle Ridge before (for work), and they weren't very private and well the general crowd down there is douchebag-tastic

I think I've already spent my beer-fest budget for the year on the Big Pour.
Though if Sidelines has a winter beer tasting this year, I'd be up for that.

Yes, but just sharing what I find.  Hey, folks bitch about the cost of any fest, the location of any fest, the breweries at any fest...  you are some whiny bitches.  Why not do your own fest and STFU.

Fuck that, too much work. I'm just going to buy a case a beer and get drunk while watching the Pitt game. Maybe I'll stop down Remedy tonight.

Oct. 29th is the closing rent is up Nov. 15th.

I've also been thinking with all the money I'll be saving, and have a garage and being close to the river, perhaps just maybe I'll get a boat.

I'm not whining about a damn thing, just expressing that I'm not gonna blow $30 on something that has no details except some vague shit on their twitter page and that it's at a place I don't particularly care for. In fact I don't think anyone was bitching, just stating why they weren't gonna go.

Big Pour was awesome, but it was also $110 out of my pocket. So yeah I kinda have to agree with Ponce, I'm good on beerfests for this year.

Or go to Vegas, which would be way better.  Maybe, I don't know I've never been there, do they have good beer in vegas?

The Pittsburgh Rugby Football Club has published a list of breweries that will be represented at their 2009 Brewfest.

http://www.pghrugby.com/brewers_2009.html

The list is not as impressive as the Big Pour, but there's some good stuff.  Highlights include:

    * Flying Dog Brewery
    * Great Lakes Brewing Co.
    * Harpoon Brewery
    * Long Trail
    * Magic Hat
    * Ommegang
    * Penn Brewery
    * Rogue
    * Sierra Nevada
    * Southern Tier
    * Troegs Brewing Co.
    * Victory Brewing Company
