That's fuckin' sweet.

Ironically, since last years Big Pour, since I bought tickets for it online I've gotten regular e-mails from Construction Junction that I don't necessarily want... but I don't recall getting a message about this years event.
Hopefully, they'll at least send an e-mail out when the tickets actually go on sale.

though the most recent email (july 11) mentioned this -

Call for Refrigerator Repair Man (or Woman)

CJ will be auctioning kegerators adorned by local artists during our upcoming 2nd annual Steel City Big Pour event taking place on September 13th.  The kegerators will be equipped with everything needed, the auction winner need just add beer.  We need though to make sure when these winners take home their prize that they are in good working order.  Please email bonnie@constructionjunction.org to discuss this further if you are a repair person or know someone who is.  Thanks.

I'd like a kegerator, but I'm sure their fancy ones covered in art will probably fetch more $$$ than I have to spend on a kegerator.

Perhaps if the government decides to hand us out another $600 check again, (And I don't end up spending it on a speeding ticket in Maryland and a new rear windsheild) it would be a good investment.

See, this is yet another thing we could have turned that old steam chest thing Catherine had into.  Damn, I miss the penalty box.

Fuckin' Birdtoss indeed.  Truly an era.

On a related (to the original post) note, it appears that the tickets for this year's Big Pour will go on sale August 1.

I guess that's when I'll be buying mine... It was packed last year and damn near sold out (from what I remember) and I'm sure folks spread the word about it

I reckon the consensus is for the second session, since some can't do noon?

Construction Junction had sent me an e-mail this afternoon.
The subject was "An Acre of Carpet Squares"

But the main bit in it was concerning the Big Pour:

Quote
As of the writing of this Blast, Friday August 22, 2008, we
have sold over 800 tickets for the second session (5 pm to 8 pm).  If
you are interested in attending the second session of the Steel City
Big Pour, then NOW is the time to purchase your tickets.  This event
will sell out.

It's bad enough that I get a bunch of non-Big Pour related e-mails from CJ.  But when they do send them, the subject has nothing to do with it.
