Apparently I'm not going anywhere for a little longer, so I might as well let folks know that I'm in AGH, room 608.
I've been here since last Saturday (Sep 27th), same basic shite as last time: my immune system is over aggressive, and is now attacking my blood platelets, which are needed for clotting, or some jounx. Look at this as a good excuse to go somewhere and chant (or cheer for) "blood clot".
Not in any pain, really, other than some boredom. I've got a laptop and a wireless card, but only hop online a couple times a day.
Sadly, the Robotic Overlords will probably still loose to the Alcosan Assassholes, despite them starting a defense that has a bye, and me posting a Ford PopSuite (poopshoot) joke in the league's smack talk section.
Half MTOs are being accepted in the form of "Meatball Marinara - just meat, sauce and cheese", or "turkey wrap, provolone (or 'Merican, but not swiss), lettuce, tomato, maybe green peppers, bacon, NO dressing/sauces/etc".
Tell Pastor Shirey to stop on dahn if he is in the neighborhood (a little preachin' never hurt anyone).
Peace, -Gregor

I'm taking black seed oil (black cumin) for my asthma. It's supposed to be good for auto immune disorders also. You might want to give it a shot. http://www.kitchendoctor.com/articles/blackcumin.htmlsnippet: "Black cumin is regarded by many as a panacea and may therefore not be taken seriously by some, but for those inclined to dismiss folklore, it should be noted that these humble seeds have been found superior to almost every other natural remedy when used for autoimmune disorders, conditions in which patients suffer greatly because their own systems attack their bodies. Black cumin, especially when combined with garlic, is regarded as a harmonizer of the imbalance which allows immune cells to destroy healthy cells. The technical language to describe this property is "immunomodulatory action." The difference between black cumin and interferon is that there are no known side effects with black cumin when administered in normal dosages. The saying goes that the beauty of black cumin is their capacity to restore harmony."

We were planning on stopping by a Sheetz and grabbin a meatball sub for ya while we were out in Robinson on Sunday, but alas I couldn't remember where the nearest one was (I think they closed down the one that was right smack dab in Robinson) and my Sheetz map was in the other car, and the couch we had just bought was gradually sliding off the roof of the car, so we went home. It looks like they closed the one on 885 too. Oh well MTOs will be bought and delivered in the near future...

Damnit gregor, why you be gettin all sick. The symptoms you describe sounds like reverse AIDS... Do you have reverse AIDS?
They should give some of your blood to AIDS patients and see what happens.
Get well soon buddy!

Now that Sheetz has been toasting their MTO's (at least the Monoreville one has for a month or 2 now), I wish there would be an option to "not" toast them as well.

Maybe you could try actually communicating with the employees verbally?! Just throwing that out there.

I don't think that's how the Sheetz system works. If it can't be done by touching a screen, I don't think it can be done.

I'm pretty sure that you can select some option that will allow them to talk to you. It's like Special Instructions or something like that.

If it's not on the screen it can't be done... wow. So you go over and watch them make your sandwich and ask them to NOT put it in the oven. They say ok, sure, but then when they try to not put it in the oven, they can't control their own body and the power of Sheetz forces them to put it in the oven!

isn't there a double cheese button. I think it's awful that blind people can never order food from sheetz since there only option is to verbally order their food like cavemen.

Just a quick update, I'm having my Spleen removed on Monday. Now, the video may suck (my connection here is really slow, and I'm not waiting for it to load), but I heard enough of the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdCgmA-_0-EI think you know where I'll be going w/ this.

Holy shit Spleenectomy, why?
From what Gregor told me, for people having this problem (immune system killing off platelets) removing it totally eliminates problems for 60% of people who undergo it, and 80% of the people it at least significantly reduces the problems. Some doctor also made a diagram of "the plan" for Gregor, which I took a picture of with my phone, I just have to upload it from there.

Yep, still in AGH. At least I have insurance this time. They had this scheduled for last Monday, but then postponed it when some drugs started working (for a day), but now it's back on the table.
They believe that my Spleen is destroying my Platelets, and maybe some red blood cells too. I'm making tons of both apparently (bone marrow FTW), but they're getting chewed up by something (and it's apparently the Spleen most of the time).
Side notes: Morning TV sucks. At least SportsCenter and the like is on all afternoon. This may explain my slight improvements in fantasy football. "Dream" 100% rhymes w/ "Spleen", there's no "sort of" aboot it.
