This googlie eyes & Geico talk is stupid.

But seriously, Nye is right... you should try and get them to let you take your spleen home in a jar.

I already asked, and they said no.  That was disappointing, after our trip to the medical anomalies museum in Philly last year.

I hope they send it somewhere for some scientist people to study.

Yeah, they canceled the surgery, again. I guess I can't complain about keeping internal organs, but it's frustrating because now I have to "wait some more".  If things keep going as they are, I might get out of here later this week.  At least I can receive sandwiches again (fasting before potential surgery, n@).

Peace,

Damn dude, that's rough. Hopefully your counts just get better and they don't need to do the surgery at all.

I guess that's the plan, again.  They said if they do decide to proceed w/ the spleen thing, I won't have to wait another week to have it done (if it needs done tomorrow, they'll do it tomorrow) which is cool w/ me.

So are they any closer to determining what causes it, or is this going to be an ongoing cycle?

The cause is unknown; the diagnosis is the result of eliminating all other known causes (I know I don't have 40+ other diseases or what have you).

I'll just have my blood monitored for a while, maybe forever, more frequently at first, and then maybe one a week, or once or twice a month down the line, as long as things look normal.

It might come back next week, or in 30 years, or never, its different for everyone. I can live w/ that (better than the alternative).

Very glad to hear that you are getting out of the hospital.  You probably have a lot of baby furniture to put together.
