I know that this certainly is not the best way to tell everyone, but I figured it would be the easiest way to let everyone know.  Today, Kim's mom lost a very long battle against cancer here in Wheeling.  If you are interested in coming to the viewing or funeral, please send me a text or give me a call, and I'll let you know the details as I receive them.  Otherwise, leave her a message on facebook if you like.  She can use all of the love she can get right now.  I'll see you folks when I get back to Pittsburgh, and at least we know her mom is watching the Steelers game tonight on the most kick ass big screen in heaven.

I'm sorry to hear that. Do you have an address of the funeral home or a place that flowers can be sent to?

I will fill you in with details as I get them.  I think instead of flowers, they may have donations sent to a charity, but it's so soon after the fact that not too much has been clarified.

Man that sucks. Give Kim my best.  I never know what to say.  I didn't even know her mom had cancer.

I thought that I should post to this as well.  My Mom has battled breast cancer for the past 12 years.  She fought it until the very end--she spent the last week with us, talking and laughing, but it was just too much.  Here is her obituary and funeral arrangements:
