False start indeed... That doesn't bode well for whats sure to be the emphasis on the running game for the first 4-6 games. Though they could possibly move Essex to RT, and then get Pouncey in their at RG

Certainly is shaping up to be an "interesting" season...
We'll see if it can be made into a winning season as well.

I hope they do well, but there is just too much drama for me to think that they can operate as a team at this point.

Nice to know there's still someone who exemplifies Steelers football on and off the field.

Yeah.. until you read the companion piece about Ben Roethlisberger entitled "I ain't a muthafuckin' gentleman" that take it's inspiration from the Willie D song of the same name.

I don't understand why they didn't wait until halfway through the season to announce the contract extension like 'em Buccos.  'Em Rooneys could learn a thing or two from 'em Nuttings.

Good for him and good for the team. There's was too much talk of them not extending him the last few months - probably because people got tired of talking about #7.

He's a great coach - he has a great attitude and a great record (31-17)

Looks like T.O. is getting off to a good start.

Also, What is "Ochocinco" trying to prove in that photo?

What a surprise.

EDIT: It appears that the link in the prior post also works for this article.  Guess they figured this shit was gonna happen too.

Not sure, probably do something local at the hulabar or this soma pizza sportbar place over my way. But I think friends from out of town are visiting so maybe not.

Lots of people are not in this weekend to begin with, what with Kraig's wedding and Sean and Sarah at another one in Virginia.

At $15 a game, I'd be willing to at least check it out, heck that's just about as cheap as Pirates tickets

I watched some of this on the NFL Network this year and it's a Discrace to the name football. The UFL is 500 times better. That being said, if there is a lockout in 2011 I might watch some these games.

I don't know.  Arena football is awful.  I think I'll just get more in college football than I am now.

I dunno, I've only watched a bit of it on NFL Network - it's easier just to think of it as a completely different sport.

Whether I watch or not isn't gonna be affected by the lockout, since it won't even coincide over the same time period. It'd just give me a sport to watch other than the Pirates between April and September, that is of course if the Pens don't make a Cup run, even if they do that's only til early June anyways.

There were talks a team starting here before Arena Football folded. And now that it is back I would go watch some games. It would be a goodtime.
