Yeah... if only we could've won that game.

This year we'll have to remember not to schedule any gigs on Saturdays during playoff weekends, to avoid a repeat of last years YORSP gig.

I wouldn't count on it... our schedule isn't exactly a walk in the park the next couple of weeks.

Well there's always the chance that either the AFC game will be the earlier game on Saturday or the Steelers would be on the Sunday game... Looks like it wouldn't matter http://www.nfl.com/schedules?seasonType=POST&season=2008#Week from what this is saying all those games for the wild card round will be either 12:30 or 4ish

ehhh the Patriots and Cowboys are teams that are just waiting to fall apart, the only concern I would have is the Titans, and the Ravens game will be tough as well...

The field is going to be a big factor for the Cowboys game. It looked pretty shitty last night, and the Dallas game is after both the backyard brawl and the WPIAL finals.

when are the WPIAL finals? Because the Brawl is Thanksgiving Weekend, so that gives it a week for them to fix it.

They are this weekend, I think. So they'll have a week to fix it, but I doubt they'll do much.
I'd imagine they'll want the field shitty to keep the scoring low and let the defense win it for us.
Even if they do try to fix it, they could do terrible job of it like they did before the Miami game last year.

Well yeah but last year wasn't that where the WPIAL finals and a Pitt game occurred the weekend right before a Monday game?

I'm not saying it's going to be as bad as last year, they aren't going to lay new sod over the old sod again, but the field is going to be bad.

Because they won that game by a field goal. This year they're trying to win one with absolutely no offensive points, only get a safety so it is 2-0.

The Steelers may be trying to set themselves up to win the first 5-2 game in NFL history

Would a 2-0 score also be the first in NFL history?
I'd think that, not counting a 0-0 tie, that would be the lowest possible score you could have.

It surprises me that only five teams can clinch a playoff berth in week 14.

Where's the article describing the necessary wins/losses for teams to be completely out of the running for a playoff berth?

Yeah it would be nice to know when those teams fall off, and statistically are then just playing to be spoilers (although teams take on that role long before they are statistically eliminated) Though I would say if these teams lose this week - Raiders, Browns, Chargers, Jaguars, and 49ers. KC got eliminated last week even though they won Regardless, though I don't see the Steelers clinching a spot this week, as although I see Dallas as a minor battle, I don't see Seattle beating New England, and don't see Buffalo beating Miami...

I think we are already guaranteed home field for the first game.
If we can beat the Titans & Browns, then we would have it for both (assuming we win our first game).
