I met that guy at Jernigan's dahn in Mt Lebanon a couple of months ago. He went to school with one of my brother in laws so we started talking to him about the relaunch.
One thing he said is that it's a totally new recipe, and wasn't based on the original at all. Another thing is that he's going to start it out cheap to see if he can build some brand loyalty before they start selling it for more money.
Lastly the guy was kind of a douche and called the dogfish head (60 min) that we were drink "crap", so I don't know if I trust his taste.

Bottles first and then maybe kegs? It sounds like the exact opposite of what most microbreweries do... Given, I don't think this guy is going after the craft beer audience. Brew master Mike Carota, who held that post at Pittsburgh Brewing, will produce a golden yellow pilsener with three hops for just a "gentle bite" and extra malt for a bright white head, said Dudash.
Three hops? In what? The description makes me not want to drink it... |
