Micro Brew festival!  w00t!  Unfortunately, the price went up 7 bucks this year, but it's still a damn good time for the money.  I reckon I'd like to do the noon session per the usual this year, and find a place to drink more and watch some ponies post-game.

From Penn Pilsner's site:

Mark your calendar for the 13th Annual Pennsylvania Microbrewer’s Fest on Saturday, June 7.

If you love beer, you won’t want to miss this outstanding opportunity to meet the owners and brewers of the East Coast’s most exciting craft breweries and sample their beers.

There will be three 3-hour sessions, each with different entertainment.

Dixie Land Jazz at 12:00
Caribbean at 3:30
Blues at 8:00

The ticket price of $37.00 includes tax, three hours of beer sampling, a meal of sandwiches and salads, live entertainment, and a souvenir glass.

Tickets go on sale March 1st at Penn Brewery Restaurant or through our online store at www.pennbrew.com

I don't know if I'm going to be able to go. I've got to leave the next day for a work conference, and I don't want to be all hung over. I guess I could go and just take it easy (yeah right), but I would have to miss out on the post-fest drinking as well.

At least there are a bunch of different brewfests these days. Anyone know if their having another one at Construction Junction this year?

I don't know... but since I bought the Big Pour tickets online last fall, I get somewhat frequent e-mails from Construction Junction about non-beer related stuff.

You'd have plenty of recovery time if we go to the noon session.  Just don't come out for the post fest foolery.

Yeah, like I'm going to get tanked at the brewfest and then just go home and not drink anymore beer. I'd much rather wait and go to a different fest, when I can have the full fest experience.

2008 Steel City Big Pour

Mark your calendars for September 13th 2008.  That's when the next Steel City Big Pour will be happening!  We're still getting comments from folks telling us how much they loved our first Big Pour so we've gone ahead and already scheduled the next one.  We'll keep you posted as all of the details develop.

Dude, if you can't just travel to a conference and coherently communicate with people 24 hours later, that's weak.  Like you said, it's not like you gotta work, you just need to get there and talk.  Not like you'll be drinking on the plane/car ride there, right?

Fixed that for you. Don't forget that the last one of these I went to ended around 7:00am with drive around Neville Island.

It could have been worse.. You could have done like Ralph and walked from Penn Brewery in and around town and then back to Bellevue, buying radios and shit from drug stores and drinking the whole time.

Well, that's just ridiculous.  You could be prudent, drink the 12-3 showing, hang out til 10 or so, go to bed and be ready to go the next morning.

I'll be in France on June 7... actually allowing for the time difference while yinz are at the brewfest we'll probably already be back on the cruise ship having just been in France.
