I should try to get my Company to book Hudson for one of the dinners. It seems appropriate.

That would be a fun drunken walk, since you'd probably be forced to stop at 2-3 bars on the way home.

Yeah... I remember one time I was in that area when $1.50 lived down there, I had parked in the lot to go to $1.50's, but coincidentally, Vinny happened to be in the parking lot, and I was forced to stop by a bar (Jerry's, I think) for a drink or 2.

That's a pretty standard hazard of hanging out on the lower north side- you stand about a 35% chance of running into and hanging out with Vinny at any given time.  Nick and Kat should bear this in mind.

Nope... though from things I have heard I don't want to go there...

Anyways I haven't even been back down to the Park House yet...

I dunno I think they all closed. I'm pretty sure jerry's is closed and I know sassy's is. The parkhouse is now reopened, and there is always peanuts where I've gone a few times and that I other bar on the corner that I went to once.

My company just had a happy hour thing Friday night at Max's Tavern.  I had never been there before, but it was a nice place and they had great food.

Yeah, but that didn't matter cause we all had been drinking since 5:30.  It's definitely a good place to go for dinner though.

So this really has nothing to do with Chicago or Brew Festival - but it is that time of year for March Madness.  I am putting together another random bracket contest for anyone interested (last year it was just Bob, Paco, Gregor and myself).  The way it works is I need to have any number of people divisible into 64 (i.e. 4, 8, 16...).  Then, everyone is randomly assigned an equal number of teams and whoever's team wins, wins all the money.

For example, last year since there was 4 of us, we each got 16 teams.  I find it to be more fun that filling out a bracket cuz you end up cheering for teams you normally wouldn't give a shit about.

$5 per entry - winner take all.

Max's Allegheny Tavern? I love that place though I never really went there to drink, though it doesn't strike me as a "go for a drink" kind of establishment. I'm headin there for dinner next Friday, should be a nice, short walk Smiley

It's a great bar to "go for a drink". It's cheap and as Bull pointed out you get to drink from jars.
