He's old enough that it's hard to believe his mommy is also still alive.

Overheard in the bar last night when Mrs. McCain the elder was introduced:
"Is that Montgomery Burns' mother?"

I don't usually pay attention to politics, but I went ahead and looked at all the canidates, and they all suck. Even the independents and other parties suck.

Also, I thought Thompson was a very elegant speaker the other night.

Jon Stewart compared him to Foghorn Leghorn.  It was funny.

That's just because they played the Law & Order noise before he took the stage.

I watched his speech and I thought it was funny when McCain was calling for Americans to act, he said "teach an illiterate adult how to read".  And as soon as he said that, the camera panned the audience to a McCain supporter with a sign that read "McCain: The Mavrick".  That made me laugh...

Also in policitcs...

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/09/10/paul.endorsement/index.html?eref=ib_topstories

It's good to see that Ron Paul is still out there, despite never having a real chance to win the primary, and it now being too late.

Well, is he still running?  Or does his endorsement of the four independent candidates mean he has essentially withdrawn?

Yeah...
He's said he's not running for a while.
That didn't stop him & his hardcore supporters from having a mini-convention recently anyway.

Ehhh saying that Obama and McCain are almost the same is a bit off... They might be more the same than comparing either one of them against any of the third party candidates, but thats not saying much. I'm all for third party candidates getting votes and I think its horrid that they are not included in those big national debates.

But honestly, a lot of the ideas that they run on simply would not be able to be put into effect with a mostly two party Congress anyways. Not trying to deter people from voting from them, just explaining the reality of the situation.

Which is why congress needs some 3rd party types in there as well to mix it up.
Fucking 2-party bullshit.

In that case I'll run as a member of this party.  Only fitting to repeal prohibition like it was done everywhere else back in 1933.

An observant article by someone not studied in politics, so this will probably be dismissed. However, he is eminately qualified to write about "entertainment"
