I signed up about 6 months ago for the freecycle mailing list where people post shit for free. People on there would snap up the dumbest crap in record time. Like who needs a bag of used VCR promo tapes or a used cat litter box? Based on that knowledge, I bet that free boat lasted 10 seconds.

I have given away some ridiculous things on freecycle. It's a great way to get rid of useless things. I have posted some things just to see who would claim that they needed said item and why. One of my favorites was somebody coming from the South Hills to pick up a remote control to god-knows-what kind of stereo system that I had when I was 16 that I found in the attic. Funny, since one of the missions of Freecycle is to " reduce, reuse, and recycle", and I have this crazy lady driving a good distance to pick up a remote control that isn't even compatible with her VCR because she has health problems and has difficulty getting out of bed. I wonder how many more useless things that she has gathered... |

I once put a litter box out on the curb in brooklyn while we were moving to queens and i went down with another garbage bag less than 1 minute later and the litter box was gone! |
