I purposely scheduled myself to leave early tomorrow- I think I'm gonna head to the Monterey Pub to watch the opening game if anyone's interested.. the majority of the game should take place during happy hour, so it should be pretty cheap.
Didn't you turn red and have your face swell up the last time you went in there? And that game may be cancelled. Thanks for your concerns- I'll address them in order: 1- Yes, but that place is non-smoking now... and I've been in there like 6 times since then and found it a very pleasant atmosphere. 2- The forecast for St. Louis says it's only gonna rain a little this morning, and at gametime it'll be cold but just a few snow flurries- but I'll keep checking on the game status to be sure. Either way I'm not gonna be disappointed with getting out of work early and heading over there for happy hour. How early? I might feign sick and join you |

The game starts at 4:15 how long do they usually last? I'm not big into baseball but I wouldn't mine going to the pub for a pint or two. I just don't get out of work until 5.

Don't forget- the Pirates won their series against the Yankees last year- and the Yankees didn't make the playoffs- they ain't so great.
Bull was definitely talkin' shit on the Pirates all through the game yesterday, and the owner of the Monterey Pub said they were an embarassment to humanity- so I enjoyed it when they scored 4 runs in the ninth.
