I'm dumbfounded by this past series. I watched the last 2 games, and I can't explain it. They're not a winning team.. but no team is that bad. Shit happens, just like that time that Jeff Karstens almost threw a perfect game just after they traded for him... and now he's in AAA. I do have to say, though, that I kind of wish he would've been here for this series to throw a ball or two at Ryan Braun. At least that would've been something. Tony Sanchez C .316 .469 .605 1.075 will be catching in PNC Park in 15-16 months barring some kind of disaster.. he'll make AA by mid-season if he keeps up what he's done since he's signed. |

After last night's terrible loss (which could almost be historic itself if the real history hadn't already been made last week) the Pirates have now been outscored 53-4 by the Brewers this year.
At least they're starting Jeff Karstens tonight.. so maybe we'll get to see some benches clearing action in addition to another horrible loss.
Oh, yeah.. they've also lost 23 straight in Milwaukee. If they ever win in Milwaukee it'll be a lot like Cleveland fans must've felt when they beat the Stillers this past season.
