Aquarium party already has a lot of shit going on. Why not just set aside a Saturday for some BBQ? I'm probably not participating but if I do. I don't know about using Ponce's Kitchen it's too small, and I need an oven to make my ribs.

There was talk of doing this upstairs at Kopec's and using their kitchen.

I don't know about that yet... other than some drinkin', and (if the weather is more cooperative this year than last year) some yard games, the suggestion for another cook-off is the only shit that is going on at the moment. Though I can dig the kitchen size issues and all-that.

Let me start by saying that I really enjoyed playing at Kopec's back in December, despite the turnout not being too great, the show was really fun. But I wouldn't plan on doing anything at Kopec's like that, unless we had total run of the bar to ourselves, or at least closing off the upstairs

I don't know how feasable this still is, though.

As a promotion to sell tickets they should make cards like these with modern players in those uniforms and give one away at each game.

Apparently opening day will have a more somber tone. http://www.postgazette.com/pg/09079/957106-100.stm(And that's not referring to the fact that it might be opening day of the season that may clinch the title of Losing-est Sports Team Ever)

I'm surprised we still had an actual organist. I figured they just played the same sound clips over and over.

That would be a good job for Bryce. He could supplement it by forming a Jazz Trio and billing it as PNC Park Organist Bryce Shirey and the Northside Express.

I would like to imagine Bryce interviewing for that job, and handing them a resume that just list playing the Combo-Organ and Glockenspiel on Puhlahmahlu.

The Trib has a more informative article (at least for the moment) http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/news/breaking/s_617062.htmlI appreciated reading this anecdote: McMillan fondly remembered times when Lascheid would play "Three Blind Mice" when the referees would take the ice.
"The league made him stop," he said.

Shit- I gotta get my resume together! You should apply for that job just for the sake of saying you did. But if you got it that would be awesome. But then you'll have to come up with little songs that kinda go with all the players names so you can play 3 seconds of it when they come up to bat.

Actually, according to the info Gregor posted on our website, Piero Umiliani wrote Mah NÃ Mah NÃ, the bulk of the work. A FOX sports announcer "came up" with Puhlamalu.
I'm not sure if it was Gregor, or someone else, that came with all the mumblings in the original (I know we needed to help Gregor with the current roster this last time around)
