I just procured the DVD of Super Bowl XLIII from the North Side Shopping Network... can't wait to have a Super Bowl party in July

Any chance I can borrow that from you so I can rip it?

I just ripped one!

Quote
Crabtree came to the combine not planning to work out but still hoping to prove he was the top receiver in the draft and worthy of a top-five pick. Instead, he measured in almost two inches shorter than his listed height of 6-foot-3 at Texas Tech, and then the medical examinations revealed the stress fracture. Many general managers consider medical tests the most important part of this week's combine.

How does that happen?

Speaking of the combine. Pat White appears to be kicking some ass. He obviously beat all the other quaterbacks in the running and jumping drills, but he was also throwing the ball better than alot of the guys expected to go before him in the draft.

Yeah I'd be interested to see where he ends up

They had their chance, and the only way for them to get a team is to steal one from another city...

Let's not rule out the Lions moving to LA.  They are owned by the Ford family and last I checked the auto industry is in the tank.

Lions would be possible. I've also heard the Jaguars as a possibility that makes a good amount of sense. The Vikings were also mentioned, but that's mainly because they want a new stadium and aren't getting one.

The Bills are in trouble as well on that front from what I have read. One would think the Bengals would be as well given how few tickets they sold last year.

I would say that the Jags would move before anyone else, they're not that old of team (14 years) Detroit has had the Lions for a LONG time (1930), and the Vikes since 1961, so I don't see them moving.

I'd wonder will/how much will L.A. discriminate?

I mean, sure they want a team, but the Lions?

Obviously there is long-term thinking, and I'm sure any team can turn it around.
I wonder how that would affect divisons.... if, say hypothetically it were Cincy, would the L.A. Bengals still be an A.F.C. North team?

Realistically this would have to be approved years ahead of time (the individual owner would have to decide to move, then I believe the NFL Owners Association would need to vote on it, and the stadium would have to be built, which with residents already complaining, is gonna be an uphill battle) so I would guessitmate that this wouldn't happen before 2012...

I'm glad both the Jets and the Steelers were aggressive in their dealings with each other.  It shows real aggressiveness.

6 year deal?  I dunno if he has the skills/hands to be the #1 there.  Time will tell, but I'd bet against that one.

I mean he wasn't horrible but all these "experts" had him as the #1 free agent WR behind Housh, laughable man... Given, the Titans don't really have any standout WRs as it stands - Gage is alright, and Bo Scaife is a decent receiving TE as well - they kinda relied the running game of Chris Johnson and LenDale White last season. I think Gage will be above Washington on their depth chart.

Doc_Holliday: Any player jump out at you at the NFL combine? How far up or down do you think Pat White will move REALLY? Something makes me think he will end up being a steal for some team in the 2nd round.

Ed Bouchette: I did not attend the combine, thank goodness. It's the most overrated sports event in history. It's also the only sports event that newspapers, TV and radio keep covering without being allowed to watch. It's ridiculous. Pat White, I was told, had a tremendous combine. The STeelers believe he'll go in the second round but should go in the first.

http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/09062/952867-66.stm

Yeah, here is what Ed Bouchette said about where the Steelers have him going. He also said that the Steelers are likely going to draft best available that isn't a QB, RB or TE. So the only way the Steelers would end up with him is if he was still on the board in a later round, or they really like him at WR.

I personally think Philly should pick him up, work him some at receiver and 3rd string QB. Then he can battle it out with Kolb to move up and one day take over for McNabb.
