That Perry Hilltop shit gets pretty close to the Perry / Charles St. intersection.  I don't know about getting a place there.

Yeah atleast in the run someone might just throw a brick through your car window and spray paint your house.

Who knows what you have to worry about there.

It's possible.  It sounds like it may be up on the hill more, which may be somewhat of a deterrent.

I dunno I drove by it last night, and the house may look pretty nice and they are building some new buildings nearby and the street is all torn up. But it's still pretty shitty up top and around the immediate area. I saw 7 guys standing around on the sidewalk asking for change.

Yeah... house deals would have to be really good to move up there.  (A $12,000 house there would have to be a good bit nicer than mine to even be in contention.)

that's right before Federal goes back into Perrysville at the top of the hill, that house does look pretty nice, that section there is debatable as to whether its really shitty or not - I drive past it everyday when I take Morgan to daycare.

Yeah, I drove down Federal on the way to Moxie on Saturday night and I was surprised by the amount of changes.  I had no idea that they were gonna be doing that much rehab.  There were still crackhead looking folks walking around, but it's a start.  Good to see that Toula's is still there! Smiley

Since they're rehabbing the neighborhood, maybe some of the crackheads can go to rehab as well.

The section of Flemming in between Davis & Termon is probably all right.  Flemming gets shitty heading from Davis down the hill toward Antrim.

I think you're pretty close to a firehouse on Orchlee.

Judging from the pictures, the house itself looks nice.

Termon is basically nice on the ends and shitty in the middle.. and of the nice ends that end is the nicest.  Orchlee is also pretty nice.. but you'd have to actually see it because you can get into some shittier situations closer to California Ave.. and like Ponce said as Fleming heads in the direction of the city it gets shittier.
As near as I can tell you'd be in one of the better areas of Brighton Heights, though.

Not bad, the fenced in yard is nice. That with the garage is the only reason i could see it listed at what its listed at.

The kitchen is redone which usually jacks up the sales price. It's a corner lot which is nice. None of the brick work is cracked or anything. It's assessed as a B rated property, which is high for Pittsburgh since the house are so old. I was just curious as to what the area was like. I mean I'm familar with it the surrounding area from Ponce's place and Bryce's but I mean like in a block radius.

Yeah there's really a block or two of Fleming that is OK, and thats in it, Orchlee closer to California gets sketchy (you're really only two blocks form California at that point). Its not "you can leave you car/house unlocked" area, but its liveable.

Walk around for a half hour at night (in the summer) and see what you think.

I wouldn't do that ANYWHERE in the city.

Well there is a two car garage so I should be able to keep my ride intact this time If I decide to move back to the northside. Google map street view makes it look ppretty nice, they must of just recently fenced in the back yard though.

Though a nice house, I would say 168,500 is a little bit high even for the fact that its a corner lot, redone kitchen, and all the other stuff. I dunno maybe 168 is alright but posting that and "bring an offer" is a bit presumptious of the agent, but I guess that's their job.

I grew up on both ends of Brighton Heights (across the street from Bryce's house and up on Pemberton where my folks live now) and walked every street between all my life. Strictly based on location and what I can see from the photos - I would live in that house.

I can't believe that place is still open, we used to stop in there walking to and from grade school all the time.
