That's true- and I'm sure they made a pile of $ when they sold that place.. but it's still sad that it's not there anymore.

Yeah, I definitely spent some all night bowling nights there, back when all night bowling meant 12-5am.  Of course now I don't know what I'd do from 2-5 without the hooch available.

When I clicked the link to see where the location was, since the zip code is fucked up it put it on the map in Connecticut for some reason.

Oh, that's where you live now... how long have you been there and what does the lease say about them putting it on the market?

Put 8,000 down and your payments will be like 1500 a month.

Since Feb, the funny thing is that one real estate agent (the one trying to sell it for the owner) called us yesterday to say that someone was coming by to look at the house today, and another one (the one managing the property for him) called to ask us if we wanted to renew the lease on the house. We may consider going month-to-month as we are looking at buying a place soon (that tax credit is too good to pass up)

They were trying to sell the last apartment we lived in.  It was annoying as fuck, buyers having to walk through our place on a weekly basis.  I should have made more of an effort to creep them out just for spite.

Damn I heard about this on the radio this morning - http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/news/s_655138.html

It would probably only be $100 more a year, but c'mon now... Its only been three days...

Some tax info for that $8,000 first-time buyer tax credit.. Not sure if it even applies to anyone here though.

That's actually for the people who bought AFTER Nov. 6th. So that's for the new extended credit. Not the orginal.

The original one under Obama's reign I meant.

I just did my taxes and went to submit them. You can't E-file them, you need to send in a copy of your settlement paper with your claim so you need to mail it in the old ass slow way. So in 4-6 weeks I'm going to get some serious loot.

It was actually really simple. Only thing is you can't efile them like I said. Other than that no problems, and I just did them myself.

You can do it this year if you want:

For qualifying purchases in 2010, taxpayers have the option of claiming the credit on either their 2009 or 2010 return.
