Anyone try Peter Straub's Special Dark yet? I've been trying to get it since I been here and was about to order one at the bar last night, but the serving wench thought she'd be slick and ass-u-me that i'd want another yeungling, which I didn't, cause I wanted straub dark.
I'll try again tonight and update yins on my progress.

I had one... it's not actually that special. You'd think it would more stout or porter-like, but it's actually more like Yuengling. After having one, I went back to ordering regular Straub.

Yeah, she might have given you a Special Dark and you thought that she had given you a Yuengling. They taste very similar.

I personally don't subscribe to that hocus-pocus

Speaking of Yuengling, has anyone ever had Yuengling Premium? My dad accidentally bought a case of that for XMas consumption and while I drank it because it was there, it was pretty foul

Yeah.... it's not that good. At least by itself; I do like the Yuengling Black & Tan.... and the "tan" is the "Premium"

It appears the P-G is also giving Straub the "shout-out". (At least about the "Peter Straub Special Dark")
