From the other side of the state....another shining example of just how fucked up our state is when it comes to booze.

Wow.... this sounds like such a blatant (and BULLSHIT) use of the Toyota "uncontrolled acceleration" defense, and this person wasn't even driving a damned Toyota.

Bet he's been siphoning off those drink taxes to line his pockets

http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/business/s_676533.html

And the drama continues concerning the selling of beer in this state....

Of note:
Quote
Roger and Jane Ackerman, owners of Mechanicsburg Beverage in Mechanicsburg in Cumberland County, said selling beer in grocery stores raises the level of potential alcohol abuse.

"It's not like buying butter. It's different than that. You should have to step back and think what you're doing," Roger Ackerman said. "Concern over alcohol is being diminished."

1st... The owner of a distributor, where one must buy beer by the CASE is arguing that places where you can only buy up to a 12-pack increasing abuse is kind of absurd.
2nd... Even more absurd is his statement in the second paragraph.

There's also a political ad (it's mudslinging of some kind, but I can't remember who it's for or against - there's your gauge of how effective it is) that does the same kind of thing, but they're targeting some politician for being (honestly) corrupt.

I think the ad is hilarious, and hilarious that the most vocal of the offended groups (right-wingers) are the same people that contribute to campaigns that approve the worst kind of scare-tactic fear-mongering political "hit" ads

Then, when the cops pull people over, they can visually assess whether they are an illegal immigrant and get them deported.  Great success!

Cosmic Cornhole - (patent pending)

http://www.glowtoss.com/

That's pretty cool, but ridiculously expensive.

There's gotta be a way to use glow in the dark paint for the board and decals for the bags.

That thing seems a little more complicated, and for $500, I don't know that qualifies as the low-hanging fruit.

There really does have to be a way to get a not-as-cool setup for a lot less $$$.  $500 is ridiculous.
