"Pedro Alvarez now has an 8-game hitting streak going.  He went 1/4 last night in Houston.  He's hitting .322 over those past eight games with an OPS around .900.  So please cease with the strikeout complaints.

He is going to swing and miss.  He is going to strikeout.  And it's completely irrelevant if he produces the way many, including myself, believe he will."

So he's now hit over .300 (with a .900 OPS, more importantly) for almost half the time he's been up in the majors, which is an extremely small period of time to judge, so it'd be stupid of me to say that he's now automatically everything he should be.  But then, that makes it just as stupid for people to have said he was a bust after he batted around .115 for his first 8 games.

Yinzers die hard... some caller to Rocco's show the other night suggested that McLahth would never have those numbers if he were still with the Bucs, and that he'd probably be a better option than Milledge
