Last night at bowling Seabass was regaling people on the story of how he, Nick, Erin, and myself went running and screaming from a pit bull at Sidelines a few weeks ago. Apparently, this is that dog. Now that I know the dog's history, I'm really glad it decided not to chase us. http://www.wpxi.com/news/22357345/detail.html

"Humane officers are charging Gonzalez and her son with felony possession of a dangerous dog charges."
That sentence is almost as disorganized as 4 people trying get into the back door of Sidelines at the same time...

How much is she suing for?

No idea how much she is suing for, but the scuttlebutt around the bar would indicate that she got pretty fucked up by the dog.

Dude she's 56, I wouldn't be surprised if they said the dog tore her arm out of socket. I mean just the weight of the dog alone is going to knock her down.

So, I didn't find this on the web, but I saw a commercial last night for this creepy ass thing. http://www.hugegram.com/Not only do you no longer have to hug your valentine, but you get wooden roses that you won't have to replace each year. I have to say, I just don't get it.

She'll definitely need some surgery or skin grafts for that. It's a shame for the dog, but some people don't realize that when you own a dog like that you have to take precautions and train it properly

I wish people would take responsibility when they have animals like that and 17 year old's should definitely NOT be allowed to have them as pets.

In the end, yes, it is the dog owner's fault. Pit bulls can be great dogs if you train them well. Unfortunately, most people just seem to want them as a status symbol and they can be neglected.

But if you do own a Pit Bull, or a dog with any Pit in him, you better keep that thing on a chain!

I saw a stray Pitt Bull walking down the road a few weeks back. I'm always worried that Felicia will be out walking Titus and cross paths with a stray. My friend John was walking his dog and some guy had two pitt bulls and their collars broke. He had to throw himself and his dog into the back of a guys truck who happened to drive by to get away.

My dad's friend tried building a castle (somewhere between Idlewild park and the town of Bolivar). I think the highest point of it was just a few feet shy of needing a blinking red light on top. I don't know how far he ever actually got (I don't think I was ever there after age 10), but I know he never completed it.
As for the guy in the link... That's pretty cool. That's bullshit if he has to tear it down.

Speaking of that neighbor - I saw her this morning and she actually waved at me from her kitchen window spy perch. On the Pit thing - they should put the owner down, not the dog. We saw that doosh out walking another one of their dogs and he looks like a complete wanna be gangster. Fuck that guy.

I'm starting to get annoyed with people who think pit bulls or a mix are dangerous dogs. With everything that Jody deals with at animal friends, you wouldn't believe how many pitbulls use to fight, because they believed they're pleasing the owner or fighting just to stay alive.

Any dog can be a good dog and any good can be bad. It all depends on the training they receive.
Having said that, certain breeds do have instincts that were bred into them. A Lab is going to have a instinct to retrieve and to go in water and a Pitt Bull is probably going to have more of an instinct to attack or defend it's self, mate or owner. It's natural for a dog to be inclined to do what it's breed was deisgned for. As an owner it's your job to train your dogs behavior. If Titus had his way he would lay in the sun and fart and shit all over. Just because a breed in more inclined to do a certain thing doesn't mean you can't change it. You just have to work harder to address those issues.

And a bichon is going to have an instinct to do a fruity little dance when it wants something.
