We need to go to this theater before it goes out of business. They have really good mini marathons (like on 4/4 when they had the Man With No Name Trilogy) and theme nights, plus it's BYOB!

http://www.hollywooddormont.com/

It also seems like they breakout The Big Lebowski every now and again for those who never got to see it on the big screen.

Awwwww, man, this would have been the best night!

Quote
Zombie Night sponsored by City of the Dead
7pm – Zombieland: Columbus is a big wuss — but when you’re afraid of being eaten by zombies, fear can keep you alive. Tallahassee is an AK-toting, zombie-slaying’ bad ass whose single determination is to get the last Twinkie on earth. As they join forces with Wichita and Little Rock, who have also found unique ways to survive the zombie mayhem, they will have to determine which is worse: relying on each other or succumbing to the zombies.
9:30pm – Dead Snow: A ski vacation turns horrific for a group of medical students, as they find themselves confronted by an unimaginable menace: Nazi zombies.
Midnight – The Big Lebowski: “Dude” Lebowski, mistaken for a millionaire Lebowski, seeks restitution for his ruined rug and enlists his bowling buddies to help get it.

Yeah, I wish I would have bothered looking that place up sooner. I've already missed Ghostbusters and the Indiana Jones Trilogy as well.

I also think a Big Lebowski midnight showing combined with bowling at Dormont Lanes would be pretty cool.

Dormont does have some pretty nice places to go, but I never get out there.  One of the guys at the barber shop I go to mentioned that he had seen Lebowski at that theater and said it was pretty nice.

I could ride my bike if it wasn't up hill the entire way there. The ride home would be nice though.

Awww, we gotta make this day happen.  I guess we'll have to see what the May Calendar looks like for the theatre.

Monday, May 3rd - $5 movie - free popcorn - Nightmare on Elm Street!  Let me know if you wanna join us.  This trailer kicks ass...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luFkSVJmobA

So I guess they don't have free popcorn Monday anymore, but they still have the $5 movie.

South Side Works movie times are 7:35 and 9:55

I'd prefer the later show so I can get stuff done after work.  Thoughts?

Deena had talked about going to a movie tonight.. are you planning on the later show?

Going back into this thread made me look for the May schedule at the Hollywood.

http://www.hollywooddormont.com/schedule.pdf

Looks like the Big Lebowski will be on 5/28 and they are also showing The Last Waltz several times this month, which I definately want to see on the big screen.

I also don't understand why they're showing Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Star Trek III and Star Trek IV, but not Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.

The Last Waltz is playing this Friday, which might be appropriate, cause the only other showing looks like it's on the day of the Aq. Bar party.  Speaking of the Aq. Bar, it looks like they're also showing A Bridge Too Far.

Yeah really everyone knows every other star trek movie in series are the good ones. Except the new one which was the best.

I also see on 5/30 that they are showing Richard Attenborough's "A Bridge Too Far", not to be confused with Evan William Shirey's "A Bed Too Far".

And the punchline- it was actually a t-shirt that Ponce used to soak up orange soda when he was too lazy to go downstairs and get some paper towels.

Yeah, I already saw it but I wanted to see it again. Plus today is like the only day I can do anything this week so I wanted to get out of the house.

Also last night I was talking to Sarah & Sean about the movie Human Centipede (First Sequence). I read about it in the Rue Morgue magazine and had to watch it. Really interesting story of a retired German scientist that attaches a Japanese guy and two American girl's into a centipede type. Must see!
