The problem with having that many flavors is how do you know what is their "signature" sauce?  I mean, I want to try the sauce they are most proud of - like Sidelines hot - or the Birmingham Erik the Red.  That said, I would like to go and try this place.

I also jotted down two other places that have been recommended to me, has anyone been to:

Grande's in Peters Township (I couldn't find it on google, maybe Jon can elaborate since he's from down that way)

Verati's in Dormont on Liberty (again, can't find it on google, maybe I heard the person wrong)

 69      FRENCH TICKLER

Ewwww...

I'm not sure what number it is, cause I saw it on their "torture list", but Bob might be all about the "Tabasco (all flavors of Tabasco)"  flavor.

I wasn't aware there were multiple flavors of Tabasco to begin with.

If you're going on food roadtrips and talking about wings you all should go to the birthplace of the dish:

I drive through there all the time, and don't think I've ever seen a place called Verati's. That being said I'll look out for it next time I'm on Washington Rd.

http://www.anchorbar.com/

I've been there and  my actual review of the place:  "This place gets a nod for being the place where it all began.  Their wings are straight average across the board: size, prep and flavor.  They may have started it, but there are those out there doing it better and tastier".

I think they meant that any flavor of Tabasco is a "torture" sauce - I don't think they meant they put them all together.  But, I'm sure they can arrange that.

I would gladly go back up there for Vouwinkle and to go canoeing, hiking, etc.  That was a nice day trip.

Kat and I would most likely be down for that for a weekend

They seem to do a lot of flavors with cheese, too.  Not to sound like Ponce, but I'm pretty sure I'm not down with cheesy sauce on my wings.

They also have a couple of flavors that involve hemp somehow.

With one minor modification you can apply Sean's post as a reply to Ponce's last post about hemp wings

Dammit, now I want wings for lunch, but the only place around here that has them is shitty quaker steak.

Or at least that's the only place I can think of.

No, no, no, that place was way up north. Bear's Inn is just past harmar. They used to have good whole wings and a cigarette machine. So we used to save up and go there as kids.

I don't know... Oakland's kinda shitty.

But seriously, there has to be some place around there that can do up some good wings... I'd hope.  Maybe not, I suppose.

When I got home and checked out my Pennysaver there was an add from this place. I meant to write down the address for, but forgot. Anyway, looks like I'll have to hit up the $16 Pizza and Wnigs deal sometime.

When I used to hang out in Beechview/Brookline, we always used to get Fiore's.  I don't remember their wings, but their pizza was fucking excellent.

Here it is. It's right down the hill from the Suburban Room (and a couple doors down from Enchanted Wings). We could have a Wings Around the South Hills mini-tour and hit up Varrati's, The Suburban Room, Jose and Toni's and The Saloon. They're all pretty close together.
