I'm dealing with a unix server that is down. A server pool that went down over the night. And trying to clean drives and run backups on 9 servers, while e-mailing everyone a nice readable list of all the server remote notification failures from the previous two days (that no one will probably read) while running down stairs every so often to let in the UPS, and USPS guys. Oh and trying to figure out what is going on with my one sites manhattan app server.

Good old AS400, those are always fun. I had to work on a VAX/VMS system the other day, talk about being lost what a jumble of a command line that is. |

Actually, the step-by-step jounx on IBMs site is pretty good, as long as no error message come up while you're following the steps.

My favorite error message was "Erase Pencil Mark!" that I think I got trying to fix an old hp netserver I found in the trash. Guess what I had to do to get it the nic card to work?

I didn't check this cause I forgot others would be at work, but I'm writing treatment plans and case notes... I also did a family therapy session. In between that I'm pissin' around on here and hoping that 2.5 more hours goes fast.

I'm a day late, but as i'm at the office today i'll pitch my two cents. I'm checking the forums and I just stopped to get keys for an apartment and listen to a voicemail that was a hang up. So basically nothing. I just did a hard hour and a half open house in a sick apartment on Astor Place which was attended by exactly zero people. I guess the weather outside is too nice for real estate. Go figure.

I'm curisous to see if we get screwed out of a day off this year because the 4th of July falls on a Saturday. I'm sure a lot of places (especially gov't) will have either the Friday before or Monday after off instead. I haven't heard anything about what is going on here. The extra day off would be a nice compliment to the probable 4th of July YORSP Ohiopyle show. |

Yeah I'm gonna try to make it out to that, but the holiday complicates us being able to get out and gettin my folks to watch him for us to go out. Next weekend we're having people over the house on Saturday. |
