http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/index.php/2009/04/07/the-beatles-remastered-albums-due-september-9-2009/

Another great musical event happening this year. The entire Beatles catalog has at last been remastered. That Let It Be: Naked that they put out a few years ago sounded unbelievably good, so I'm really excited about their other albums getting the same kind of treatment.

It's also interesting to note that Ringo and Paul were hanging out with David Lynch.

Also, if I was Amazon I would be all over Capitol/EMI about releasing these digitally. Since Apple and Apple Corp are still not on the same page, Amazon could snatch up the Beatles albums and hit iTunes right in the mouth.

This is pretty cool as well. I like the idea that some millionaire would just hire his favorite band to make an album with him.

Then again the Pretty Things also did this...

I know that Booker T is booked, but hasn't been announced yet (by the way I heard they are touring with the Drive By Truckers, I dunno if this gig will involve them or not)

And Medeski Martin and Wood aren't bad, but I'll definitely need to take my hippiewhacker

I'd hope that the opening quotation is "I looked at my watch, I looked at my wrist.. I punched myself in the face with my fist..."

It sounds like it SHOULD be good, given the subject matter.
Some of the reviews I glanced over seemed to indicate that it could've been a bit better though.
I'd read that shit.

So I guess Neutral Milk Hotel doesn't want this carousel to be torn down. That's nice of them.

They might not be as nice as they look in the picture (or this might be the wrong picture), but this looks like a really nice drum kit for $70.00. If it is a Pearl kit, then their lower end kits are still pretty nice and this one looks like it's an older kit that's been redone. Unless the finish is a wrap, then it's definately not the export series which would mean they're pretty nice shells. On top of that it's got pretty nice hardware, rims mounts on the rack tom and those plastic bass drum hoops that don't use claws.

Ponce this may been an upgrade from your present kit.

If they're still there, maybe I'll take a look at them on Tuesday.
