Sarah - this is the band from Florida I was talking about when we out to celebrate after the closing. Their new album is really good though it jumps around stylistically. I would suggest checking out their third album "Through the Belly of the Sea". It's a "choose your own adventure" album (which really only works if you have the CD insert) but is awesome listening through in natural order as well.

They're coming to Howler's on June 3rd

I'm heading out to this tonight. If anyone is looking for something to do tonight, Morningbell is a really good band -

Morningbell (FL), JayWiley Band, Alicia Romano, Kafei and Renne Band (Philly) @ Howlers Coyote Cafe
Set: 8:00 PM
21+
Tickets: $5

Other Info:

Morningbell is Gainesville, Florida's own melodic, multi-layered, psychedelic rock quartet. The band has rooted themselves as a well established tradition in the Florida Music Scene and beyond, touring the Eastern United States. Morningbell has been critically acclaimed and featured in Bonnaroo, MTV's The Real World Sydney, Blender Magazine, Pitchforkmedia.com, The Washington Post, All Music Guide and Americana UK.

That was pre-Paco.  IIRC the gig was at a lesbian bar.  I believe that HS and myself also played along w/ whats-her-face for a number.

The best part is that her name is written like 3 posts up.  And yes, Gregor and I backed her up on Moondance.

Yeah I remember that. I remember figuring it out that it was a lesbian bar when bryce told me the name of the place and were it was at. I also think we were the only straight people in the entire place.
