I guess it's not too hard to believe, since there was only 3 of them.

That's some shit that, though, that they've all died now.

So I guess that just leaves Keith Richards and Eric Clapton as the surviving members of The Dirty Mac.

I just noticed that today is Otis Redding's birthday.. so I was reading his wikipedia page and found this interesting piece of info:

"A press release from Walden & Associates that describes "One of the biggest mistakes of Otis' career"- not recording Dylan's Just Like A Woman, which he had written with Redding in mind after seeing him perform at the Whiskey A Go Go in West Hollywood in April 1966"

When you think about it, you could really see how Otis w/ Booker T & the MGs would've done a great version of that.  That Dylan- he knew (knows) some shit.

The story was a good bit more "passed-down" than that.  If I recall correctly, (and I might not), in one of the bands that Rennie was in, one of the other musicians had a friend (or wife) that had a friend that had sex with Davy Jones, who was wasted.... and most importantly, after he shit himself.

Rennie might remember exactly how the story was passed down.

At least he lived long enough to play the Allegheny County Fair... and I believe the RibFest too.  And somewhere after one of those gigs, he got wasted, shit himself, and had sex with some woman who knew a guy who Rennie would later play in a band with... what a life.

Didn't $1.50 take a sign to one of his shows that said "Davy Jones shit his pants" and passed it up to the stage?

Yeah- at the Allegheny County Fair- probably around 2001.

This is pretty hilarious.. so hilarious it could be an Onion headline:
http://www.metro.co.uk/olympics/895700-london-2012-organisers-wanted-dead-star-keith-moon-to-perform-at-games

Just to be clear these are organizers of the LONDON Olympics, i.e. LONDON, ENGLAND.
