Thursday Feb 5th Thunderbird - we need a closer
Tuesday Feb 10th Howler's - we are playing with the Lucas Cates Band and they want another band on the bill

The weeknight gigs can be brutal.
Bocktown isn't too bad cause they close @ midnight... but when LFS did the Thursday close @ the T-Bird, yinz (LFS) didn't even start playing until about midnight.

In general Thursdays are no good for me... I had to switch my schedule for the LFS show. I'm on/off about Tuesday... it might be ok if we're not the last band to play.

Yeah, but it is much easier for me to drive to the Aq. Bar/Studios than it is to drive to Bloomfield and play a show.

Also, some sad news - this is gonna be one of the last few shows Wino Riot does for a long time.
We're going on hiatus / kind of "calling it quits" as our current situation as a band (and individually as well) makes it near impossible to move forward as we would like. Marc, Dave, Chuck and I are still going to write music together and maybe re-assess playing shows sometime down the line, but Wino Riot as a band will be put to rest in the next few months. We're gonna post a more clear explanation in the coming days, but that's the gist of it - We're gonna schedule a final show sometime in April or early May (probably a Saturday at the TBird if possible) and play whatever shows we can until then. This wasn't an easy decision to come to, and it doesn't sit lightly with any of us, but in the long run we all feel it's the better decision.
That being said, I have no desire to stop playing music, and I guess this makes me a free agent, so if y'all know of anyone looking for a bass player...

It's almost the anniversary of the Super-Bowl eve show that became known as no-pants Saturday. Though I suppose after that Buckeye was still allowed to play there for Tit-For-Tat weekend (and once after that, if I recall) |
