From the Flaming Lips website. It's good to see that their Christmas movie is finally coming out, but I'm disappointed that the closest they're going to be this summer is in Philly. I'd try to go, but we're closing on our house 2 weeks before, and my cousin's (not Ponce) wedding is the week following. How is that for shitty timing.

so you're saying that you can't do something more than 2 weekends in a row? Or money reasons?

Looks like they're playing mostly festivals... damnit

there was a talk of getting them and Ween (and maybe a local opener) at Hartwood in late summer, but I guess that fell through

Yeah, I would say that buying a house might leave me a little strapped for cash in May, but I might have been able to still budget for it and just stay with friends. However, I have to drive to Ohio and pay for a hotel and wedding present the next weekend. So that pretty much shuts down that idea, and all of my economic stimulus money is going to furniture.

They'll probably announce some more dates soon though. Maybe they'll be in Chicago this summer, which would be cool since it's a cheap trip.

That press release sucks.

If I happen to be riding in an airplane or a spaceship for that matter and some outside observer sees said vehicle yet can't identify it, they would call it a UFO... But I, being inside the vehicle, having full knowledge of what type of craft I am exactly flying in WOULDN'T CALL IT A UFO! WHAT THE FUCK!?!?

Yeah, we got that one. We just got the house inspection done on Monday, so we're not totally done with the negotiations yet. We have some items that we would like taken care of or to get credit for.

Maybe luck wasn't on your side for that.... but do no despiar... there is a chance that Pittsburgh will be blessed with a stop from this tour.

I just reactivated my NetFlix yesterday, for those winter months.

In honor of the "Gaming" thread, and those guys in Schenly Park, this is at the top of my queue:

I've seen this or perhaps a similar documentary that was freaking hilarious. Now these guys are losers. There was one guy they were interviewing and he was like, "in game I have a girlfriend which is kinda cool.... since I never had one in real life". I laughed my ass off!
