There is another dog friendly place but it's primitive cabins and no bathrooms. I don't think Felicia will be up for that.

I really didn't think this place was great. But I know I can't talk felicia into staying somewhere without a shower.

http://leberslogcabins.com/prices.html

Cabins 2, 7, and 8 would probably be the better ones. Over to the right you are but up against rv's and trailers.

So basically she doesn't like camping and you're trying to take her camping?

I don't.  I was kinda posting here hoping that someone else would take charge of accommodations.

Well I guess the real question were folks looking to camp (tents) or stay in a cabin?

We might be interested as some of her kayaking friends may be going to Confluence to kayak that weekend, and that's not too far. But I'm kinda realizing that we probably can't bring Morgan to the shithouse show, do you guys know if its 21+ or not?

I guess we'll have to see what's available.

I don't know for sure, but I would assume it is.

Most of the public, tent/camping sites I saw don't let you have alcohol. Screw that.

That's the place we stayed at when we biked up there.  It's up a big fucking hill that is about 2 miles long and a steep incline.  Not fun to bike up.  Actually, I think we all ended up pushing our bikes up.  But, they seemed cool with the beer up there.  My feeling is they view alcohol much like Chincoteague does - just don't be obvious or an ass about it, and it's cool.

This is the state campground right in Ohiopyle.  Alcohol is prohibited .. and you have to book at least two nights in a row.  It is a really nice campground though.

Also I would guess any of these campgrounds/cabins are gonna book up for July 4 weekend pretty fast.

State Parks have an unwritten don't ask don't tell alcohol policy. I've had beers with rangers before. Keep a clean site and don't make lots of noise and you'll be fine. That however is easier said than done, especially in large groups, of which looks like this will be.

I'm guessing the "walk-on sites" are just that - first come first served.  So that might be a problem the weekend of the 4th.  But as I recall, they are definitely the most "remote" sites in the campground - i.e. less likely to get bitched at for bringing the noise.

I'm not staying anywhere I can't drink. Walking in site 110 looks like it's the shit though.

There is also large private cabins we can rent out like the one listed below. I'll have to ask about my dog, maybe a few of us could share a place like this?

Shower availability? Sarah and Felicia apparently share similar views when it comes to camping accommodations - at least for a long weekend with other people.

There's that campsite in Confluence (the one Ponce and Bull came up to 2 years ago when Kat and I were up there for the weekend), it has a shower facility as well. It's $3 per person per night, but it's first come first serve and will probably be a mad house that weekend

Yeah... it would probably be best to have a place that can be reserved in advance.

If we can get 18 people, that would be $24 per person per night

Downside to those is the 12.5 mile drive to the bar - http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=255+Paddler%27s+Lane+Confluence+PA+15424&daddr=112+Garrett+St.+Ohiopyle,+PA+15470&hl=en&geocode=&mra=ls&sll=39.828083,-79.380212&sspn=0.012244,0.019312&g=255+Paddler%27s+Lane+Confluence+PA+15424&ie=UTF8&z=13

careful there though...I stayed there last year and the charge for dogs was more than it was for humans. Make sure that any "agreement" is in writing

oh, and to get to Ohiopyle you have to drive on a rollercoaster of a hill

Makes sense. What's a dog going to fuck up if you're camping in your own tent?
