Back by popular demand (and repeated complaints about laziness) Shithouse will be playing the Sunday Night Whiskey Social at Howler's hosted by the Mon River Ramblers this Sunday, 1/17.
The show starts with the Ramblers around 8:30 or 9pm.. followed by YORSP..  there'll be some food served, and apparently $2 whiskey drinks/shots between 9 and 11pm.

I was just listening to some of our older shows on archive.org, and I stumbled across the now infamous "Raffle" track.  I'm now trying not to laugh out loud at my desk to avoid looking like a psychopath.  So far, it's not working.

Right at 5:58 in "Raffle", you can hear Bull asking "Does it have a vagina?"

I thought those that read these forums would like to know that Sunday's show sparked the first piece of offended audience member feedback that we've ever received (as far as I'm aware).. apparently Somebody Touched Me shows that we're either uneducated little boys or oppressive pigs.
We've come so far...

Wonder what it was about it that set them off?

I played The Scrotum Song for someone, and his response was "I feel like I've been missing something my whole life". And then after mentioning that I doubt he had ever heard a whole song about scrotums he replied "I can now check that off of my bucket list".

We've had that kind of feedback before, but it was in person (there was that lady at PDs Pub that sat there for the entire show to tell us that we were horrible people). This is the first piece of "hate mail" that I can remember.

It had potential too, to start an actual conversation about a, um, "touchy" subject, but it ended with insults.  You can try to have a serious dialog with someone, or insult them, but not both at the same time.

Time to add a new section to the website.

If it was a women like I assume it was, you could of been real assholes and played piss up a roped and dedicated it to her. That might have inticed a riot/fight though...

I think the lyrics can attest to both of those things.

We're called "Ye Olde Royal Shithouse Players"....
My question to that person is:

What? You expected different?

If it was a women like I assume it was...

Either that, or it was someone whose had experiences that made the song hit a little too close to home.

Yeah because that song really isn't that vulgar. Perhaps they didn't understand the double entrende, it's never specified that anyone is actually being assaulted.

So did you guys actually receive a letter, or an email, or were you saying it was this time that someone expressed their being offended to you in person?

To clarify, this instance was through MySpace.  The previous instance was in person.

I'll leave it up to Gregor to email it to you.. I'm not gonna copy and paste it here.  Then again I do like the idea of adding two sections to the website:

1. Praise for YORSP - "You guys were awesome.. my girlfriend's pussy... boo ya!"

2. Hate for YORSP - "You're horrible people." -woman who sat through the entire show
"You're either uneducated little boys or oppressive pigs.." - MySpace message

I think I prefer "Oppressive pigs".
Makes us sound more powerful than uneducated little boys.

wow...I read the text and would have to assume that someone has touched her/him.

I would also have to assume that they've never heard the original tune. While I almost empathize with them... They did sit through the whole show and would have to see that almost every song had a double meaning. I mean they weren't complaining about the anal rape from the Girl I Let Behind Me
