You know, I am impressed with their ability to get away with pushing the limit to the extreme. I always find myself saying, "wow, I don't know how much more fucked up this show could get", but then they manage to horrify me at least once a season.
As far as the news stories go, I haven't heard any non-comedy central stories or reviews of the show for a few years now, though I generally don't pay much attention to that stuff. Maybe the censors are just letting them get away with it, because they don't care anymore as America has way bigger fish to fry than naughty cartoons on the TV.
