Ye Olde Royal Shithouse Players
“YORSP” is an old-timey show band and revue. Playing a variety of old-timey ballads with dirty lymrics, blues, gospel and country, the Shithouse Players aim to make any setting feel like an Appalachian front porch.
One could say that YORSP was born out of some acoustic DVUS sessions, with backporch associate Damian Hellbent, now the first-chair banjoist, and Steven Harding leading the charge toward old-timey goodness.
Sometimes, certain “special guests” randomly show up at shows and play along.
